Background

Founded in 1964, Tanganyika Christian Refugee Service (TCRS) began as a program under the Lutheran World Federation’s Department for World Service, focused on providing emergency relief to refugees and asylum seekers in Tanzania. Becoming an independent NGO in 2006, TCRS expanded its mission in 1984 to include development initiatives aimed at empowering disadvantaged communities, addressing socio-economic and climate challenges, and helping alleviate extreme poverty. The Trustees of Tanganyika Christian Refugee Service (TCRS) invite qualified consultants or consultancy firms to submit proposals for one of its projects the Inclusive Community Resilience Project (TZK001) 2022-2025.This project funded by Felm, launched in 2022, operates across 45 villages—15 each in Kilwa, Morogoro, and Kishapu aiming to strengthen community resilience, improve food security, and promote sustainable livelihoods.

RFP Components:

Qualified consultants or firms are invited to submit proposals for one or all of the following components. Please submit a separate proposal for each component if applying for more than one.

1. Design and Production of Training Materials for Limited-Educated Beneficiaries.

• Objective: Develop accessible training materials focused on climate-resilient farming, organic farming, vegetable production, and improved animal husbandry practices. These resources should empower beneficiaries by enhancing their livelihoods and resilience to environmental challenges.
• Outcome: Easy-to-understand, practical materials for beneficiaries to build climate resilience, food security, and sustainable agricultural practices.

2. Preparation of Advocacy Materials on Rainwater Harvesting Tanks

• Objective: Create comprehensive advocacy materials, including informative booklets and impactful documentary videos, to raise awareness and drive action among local communities, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Outcome: Well-crafted materials that engage, educate, and inspire action on rainwater harvesting to address water security issues.

3. Design and Production of Advocacy Materials for Public Release for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

• Objective: To design and produce Advocacy Materials aimed at increasing public awareness, sensitivity, and support for the rights, needs, and contributions of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
• Outcome: Promote a more inclusive society, reducing discrimination and stigmatization by fostering better understanding and collaboration.

Please note that the Proposal / tender can be rejected and a contract being cancelled by TCRS if any illegal or corrupt practices are connected with the award or the execution of the contract.
